Pastor publicly chased away from church for impregnating housemaid.

There was commotion on Sunday at the United Methodist Church, Mafoluku, in the Oshodi area of Lagos as members
of the church chased away their pastor for allegedly impregnating his housemaid.
It was learnt that the pastor, Barkuma Andrew, was stopped from leading the church seven months ago when the housemaid, who was also a member of the church, Grace, had complications after aborting the pregnancy.
Andrew had lived with his wife, children, wife’s cousin, Favour, and Grace in a three-bedroomed flat on the church premises before the incident. It was gathered that the members had petitioned the Central Conference of the church in Taraba State to investigate the alleged accusation. Then sought the service of another pastor three weeks
ago when the district reportedly failed to probe Andrew. At 10 am on Sunday, members of the church showed up for
Sunday service only to see that Andrew and some “unknown” people had commenced the service, this angered the congregation which proceeded to chase
out Andrew and his group from the church. Men from the Makinde Police Division, including the DPO, were said to have intervened after the incident was
reported at the station. A member of the church and a former secretary to Andrew, Moses Sherima, said that the pastor sent his wife to her village after he impregnated Grace.
He said:
“My room is opposite pastor’s apartment and I was
his secretary. When he started dating that girl (Grace), I called his wife’s cousin, Favour, on the matter. She said Grace used to tell her whenever the pastor had sex with her.
“At a point, I had to move upstairs when I could no longer bear it. The day that abortion happened, I was sleeping inside my room when I heard Grace
screaming. I rushed there and saw blood coming out from her private parts. When the wife came back from one of her numerous journeys, he told
her to send Favour away.”Another church member, John Komboroh, said the church was embarrassed by Andrew’s conduct, adding that they were tired of his leadership.
He said: “The petition of adultery against the pastor had been sent to the bishop at the Central Conference.
He came here, but did not do anything about it. That was why we wrote to the main body, the Southern Conference to give us another pastor. His (Andrew’s) action is an embarrassment to us. We
don’t want him again.” The new pastor of the church, Reverend James Sunday,
said,: “We were about to start our service this morning when we met the old pastor and some unknown people already holding the service. I calmed down
my people to avoid chaos.” Another resident and a female member, who identified herself only as Blessing, said the pastor had once made sexual advances to her. “My husband is not always at home. The pastor would call me in the night and asked if I had slept.
One day he entered my room and gave me a soft slap on my back. I had only the wrapper on me. “I was surprised and told my neighbours.”

11-year-old gives birth to baby girl.

ASUNCION, Paraguay (AP) — An 11-year-old girl who was denied an abortion after being raped gave birth Thursday, the culmination of a case that put a spotlight on child rape in this poor South American nation and drew criticism from human rights groups.

Elizabeth Torales, a lawyer for the girl's mother, told The Associated Press that the minor gave birth to a baby girl via cesarean in a Red Cross hospital in Asuncion, Paraguay's capital. She said reported there were no complications and both the mother and baby were resting.

"The baby doesn't yet have a name," said Torales, who added that her client and the girl's grandmother had requested custody of the infant.

Hospital director Mario Villalba told reporters outside the hospital that the birth took about 35 minutes. She said the girl would remain in the hospital for three or four days, "like any other patient who has had a cesarean." She said the minor was currently accompanied by her grandmother, but declined to give more details.

The girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by her stepfather when she was 10. The stepfather has been arrested and is awaiting trial. The girl's mother has been charged with negligence.

The mother requested an abortion for her daughter, but the government refused to allow it, drawing praise from religious groups but criticism from many human rights organizations, including U.N. officials. Paraguay bans abortion except when a mother's life is in danger. At the time, the girl was five months pregnant and local health officials said she appeared to be in fine health.

In a statement Thursday, Amnesty International said it was glad the girl came through the birth all right, but said the fact that "she did not die does not excuse the human rights violations she suffered at the hands of the Paraguayan authorities."

While the case did spark some discussion about abortion in deeply socially conservative Paraguay, the focus of several protests was on better protecting children from abuse.

About 600 girls age 14 or under become pregnant each year in this country of 6.8 million people, according to local health statistics. Many people have called for stiffer penalties for abusers and the funding of education programs to help parents and authorities better spot signs of abuse.

Norma Benitez, spokeswoman for the Latin American Women's Commission, said her group would now push the government to provide a safe environment for the girl that includes both her mother and grandmother.
"The Paraguayan state must fulfil its role of protecting children by providing a home and a dignified life" for this family, she said.
The Roman Catholic Church has wide influence in the country and was at the forefront of calls not to allow an abortion. Mariano Mercado, spokesman for the Paraguayan Episcopal Conference, reaffirmed the church's position Thursday but didn't talk about the girl's case.
"Human life is sacred and should be respected and protected from the moment of conception until death," he said.
Carlos Gilizzola, a physician who holds a seat in the Senate, said he that for four years he has been pushing legislation to increase sex education funding.
"The majority of Christian churches, led by the Catholic Church, campaigned in 2012 to make sure the bill wasn't even taken up in committee," he said.
In July, Pope Francis spent three days in Paraguay. He met with officials, toured a slum outside Asuncion and celebrated two Masses. While activists had hoped to bring up the case of the pregnant girl, Francis did not speak about it or focus on abortion in any of his speeches.

13 reasons Emmanuel Adebayor converted from Christianity to Islam.

It is no longer news that the Togolese player had converted from Christianity to Islam. He had just released a press statement for those who criticized his action. He gave 13 reasons why he converted. Read below:

1. Jesus (pbuh) taught that there is
only One God and Only God should be
worshipped as taught in Deut 6:4,
Mark 12:29. Muslims also believe this
as taught in the Qur’an verse 4:171.
2. Jesus (pbuh) didn’t eat pork as
taught in Leviticus 11:7 , and neither
do Muslims as taught in the Qur’an
verse 6:145.
3. Jesus (pbuh) greeted with the
words “as salaamu alaikum” (Peace
be with you) in John 20:21. Muslims
also greet each other this way.
4. Jesus (pbuh) always said “God
Willing” (inshallah), Muslims say this
too before doing anything as taught in
the Qur’an verses 18:23-24.
5. Jesus (pbuh) washed his face,
hands, and feet before praying. The
Muslims do the same.
6. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of
the Bible prayed with their head to
the ground (see Matthew26:39).
Muslims do too as taught in the
Qur’an verse 3:43.
7. Jesus (pbuh) had a beard and wore
a throbe. It is Sunnah for Muslim men
to do the same.
8. Jesus (pbuh) followed the law and
believed in all the prophets, (see
Matthew 5:17). Muslims do too as
taught in the Qur’an verses 3:84, and
2:285.
9. Jesus’ mother Maryam (pbut)
dressed modestly by fully covering
her body and wearing a headscarf
(hijab) as found in 1 Timothy 2:9,
Genesis 24:64-65, and Corinthians 11:6.
Muslim women modestly dress the
same as taught in the Qur’an verse
33:59.
10. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of
the Bible fasted up to 40 days (see
Exodus 34:28, Daniel 10:2-6. 1Kings
19:8, and Matthew 4:1-Muslims do so
also during the month of Ramadan.
Muslims are required to fast the full
obligatory 30 days (see Qur’an 2:183),
and others take it a step further by
fasting an additional 6 days to
increase their rewards.
11. Jesus (pbuh) taught to say “Peace
to this house” when entering it (see
Luke 10:5), and to also greet the
people in the house with “peace be
unto you”. Muslims do exactly what
Jesus did and taught. When we enter
our homes and the homes of others
we say “Bismillah” and also greet with
“as salaamu alaikum” (peace be upon
you) as taught in the Qur’an verse
24:61.
12. Jesus (pbuh) was circumcised.
Circumcision is 1 of the 5 fitrah in
Islam, so Muslim men are required to
be circumcised. According to the
Bible in Luke 2:21, Jesus was eight
days old when he was circumcised. In
the Torah, Allah/God stated to the
Prophet Abraham (pbuh) that it is an
“Everlasting covenant” (see Genesis
17:13). In the Qur’an verse 16:123
Muslims are required to follow the
religion of Abraham. The Prophet
Muhammad (saws) said, “The Prophet
Abraham circumcised himself when he was eighty years old.” (see Sahih hadith
Bukhari, Muslim, and Ahmad).
13. Jesus (pbuh) spoke aramaic and
called God”Elah”, which is
pronounced the same as “Allah”.
Aramaic is an ancient, Biblical
language. It is one of the Semitic
languages that also include Hebrew,
Arabic, Ethiopic and the ancient a
$$yrian and Babylonian language of
Akkadian.
The Arabic”Elah” and the Arabic
“Allah” are the same.
Recently, through his instagram page,
Adebayor wished everyone a happy
Eid Mubarak along with a photo of
himself wearing the popular Arabian
white thaw and an ankle-length white
shirt.

Funny! Man mistakenly call 911 while robbing a house.

Authorities say a man planning a burglary inadvertently dialed 911, allowing dispatchers to listen in on his conversation.
Somerset County prosecutors say Branchburg police received the errant call on July 27, but were unsure of the
caller's location. They learned that the phone number had recently been assigned to 42-year-old Scott Esser.
Esser was arrested on Wednesday, after he allegedly entered a Stafford Township home. He's now charged with
that burglary and others in Branchburg and Berkeley Heights.
Authorities say the Branchburg robbery occurred the same day Esser allegedly made the inadvertent phone call.
Esser's bail was set at $100,000 and it wasn't known Saturday if he has retained an attorney.
